LILY LAKE

Located in Luzerne CountyLily Lake is a 160-acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and managed by the Fish and Boat Commission for public fishing and boating.

FISHING

Lily Lake is managed under Big Bass Program regulations. It is also designated as: Stocked Trout Waters Open to Year-Round FishingCommonwealth Inland Waters regulations apply for all other species of fish.

The Commission historically has stocked the lake with Northern Pike fingerling.

Fish habitat structures have been placed in the lake (view PDF map) over the years as part of the Commission’s Fish Habitat Improvement Program.

BOATING

Boats with greater than 60 horsepower engines or greater than 20 feet in length are prohibited.

Boats are limited to slow no wake except those operating within the buoyed high speed operating zone, between noon and sunset between the Saturday preceding Memorial Day and September 30.

One launch ramp is available along with associated parking facilities.

Un-powered boats may be moored at the lake in accordance with Commission property regulations. To be used at the lake, boats must be registered or have a valid launch permit (permits are issued by the Commission or PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources).

COUNCIL CUP

Council Cup Scenic Overlook is a 1.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Wapwallopen, Pennsylvania that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail is good for all skill levels and is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
